Question about 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee
I checked all my plugs and wires and there all fine! ever sence i power washed my motor it has ben acting up...when im at a light it will die out but then start right back up?? and when i excelerate it doesent have any power and just kinda of putters.. i was told maby a crankcase sensor?? and if so how do the hell do i change it? any help..thans
Another thing you can do is get the wifes hair dryer (I normaly advise not telling her) and unplug every wire (one at a time) and if that doesnt help, pull off the distributor and do the same. If that doesnt work then start drying the sensors.
Just for future knowledge, it is ok to wash an engien once in a while if dirt really bugs you but never do it with high pressure. And while you are washing it, leave it running and when you are done, leave it running for 30 minutes. For what it is worth, I agree 100% with thundergod, I never was a engine unless I am going to do some major work on it. If and when I look to buy a car, that is one of the first things I look for, if it has been washed, I walk away from it.... On the average, the person is trying to hid something. Just a little FYI for you to think about. Good luck

Don't know what you did... NEVER powerwash any late model engine!!! It totally screws up sensors & electronics!!!!Clean dosen't help much if it dosen't run!!! Unplug all sensors and check for any water residue in plug ends. If it runs at all, wouldn't hurt to warm it up and leave hood open into the wind to dry it out a bit. Crank sensor is usually on bellhousing on left side.
