how do you go about checking the crank sensor? and where is it located? would this also cause the no power to the fuses under the hood issue? your help is welcomed more than you know! thank you!

Ended up being the Cranksensor. Just my luck, it magically went bad sitting there in the garage. Found out later the owner had had problems with car not starting. Changed the sensor and she no longer had any more problems!

What engine does this have? 2.5? If so these have a real problem with the distributors. The parts stores stock them.

Like I said the whole ignition system is built into the distributor. But before you replace it, check the crank sensor.

99 Alero 4 cyl. CEL flashing, cuts off while stopped or when slow down to turn corners. Recently started backfiring. Drives fine @40 mph. Went to auto zone and got #3 misfire code.

start with changing your plugs, wires and distributor cap and rotor. If it is the type of system that uses coil overs, then replace coil number three as well. A flashing CEL means that you have a misfire that is bad enough to damage your catalytic converter so get on the one before you have to pay bigger money

Change the engine in a 2001 chrysler sebring convertible. now has no spark to the coils. no voltage at the coil and injector fuse. can some one help

Trouble shoot the ASD relay first. It is responsible for the fuel pump relay and ignition power to the coil. When you turn the key on the ASD should collapse and supply voltage to 02 heater circuit and power to the injector the ECM supplies the ground circuit. In the engine fuse junction box make sure no fuses went open especially the fuel pump fuse let me know what you find I will check for response and will follow upcansmo_159.gifcansmo_160.gif

1999 Chrysler Sebring want start recently had distributor rotor and cap replace only one cylinder is firing what could be causing the other five not to .

Check your plug wires to see if there in the right firing order and connected tightly on the cap and plugs. Also check to make sure the coil wire is tight. Also you can try changing your wires also.
