It sounds like a dead battery or battery connections. The keys won't come out, because there is a positive feed wire to the lock cylinder that will not allow it to turn the lock position when there is no power.

Make sure the battery is good and if it is call a tow truck the only solution is a new ignition they are known for this. Not so much the equinox but the pontiac torrent, but they are the same thing.

Car has no power absolutely opened the door with the key tried starting the car no sound no light now key is stuck in

Your key is stuck because your battery is dead, try hooking up a battery charger to it, remember to pay attention to the proper battery terminals so you do not damage your battery or your electrical system.
The key is likely stuck due to a solenoid that is designed to keep you from removing the key if the vehicle is not in park, when the battery is dead the car does not know it is in park and therefore locks the ignition tumbler from returning all the way off.

Cant get the key out ignition

There is a good chance your ignition switch or lock cylinder is bad. If the shifter is all the way up and the brake is applied and it still won't come out, it will need replaced.

Can't get key out of ignition 2008 equinox sport

This is fairly common problem. It will need a new ignition lock cylinder most likley. I would contact dealer and see if they can help with some assistance from gm. The new cylinder has to be keyed and all so will need to go to dealer or locksmith

I have a 2005 Chevy Equonox

you might have to dismantle the key ignition assembly on your steering column. Have you tried getting some channel locks or some pliers to swiftly yank out the key? Is the key bent inside the ignition? If so, you have a problem on your hands and you'll have to remove the assembly and most replace it.
