Question about 2004 Acura TL
Wife said yesterday that the Nav system wasn't working right and kept resetting. When I got in the car this morning, it was asking for my security code. After entering it, the screen displayed the acura navigation logo screen. It would then either continually reset to this screen or give me the nag screen. Pressing "OK" on the nag screen would sometimes bring up the map but show no vehicle movement. At other times, the map would be blank. In both situations, the screen would quickly reset to the logo screen.
I have not disconnected the battery recently or messed with the navigation DVD.

SOURCE: Navigation Code
True. It is in the trunk under the plastic carpet. You need to remove the bolts from the navi dvd and flip it over. Write down the serial number and go back to the dealer. Show registration of car and have car with you. On 2005 and up cars with navi the tech can go to a secret tech screen and get the serial number.

SOURCE: navigation asks for a code
Contact you can look under your nav system in the trunk. You will need to remove the screws that hold the Nav System in place. The serial number is right in the middle on the bottom of the unit. Once you have it, call Acura and tell them you need the code. You will also have to prove that you own the vehicle. Good Luck.

You need to get the serial number off the sticker attached to the radio and nav. It will require pulling apart your dash. Call an Acura dealership with that serial number and they should be able to provide you the code. Or you can take it directly to the dealer but you will be charged labor.
