My mazda quit running driving down the highway and would not start even popping the clutch. Pluggs, coil, plugg wires, fuel pump, are all working, it has gas and battery is good. What else could it be?
assuming you checked for spark and fuel pressure, did you check timing belt it could have stripped a few knotches, would crank but slower than usual, could buck and pop too.assuming you checked for spark and fuel pressure, did you check timing belt it could have stripped a few knotches, would crank but slower than usual, could buck and pop too.

Sorry old son but your clutch sounds like it has gone to the big junk yard in the sky reserved for dead clutches . When a clutch starts to slip it will continue to do so until that is all it will do . solution a new clutch is required .
need to check fuel pressure, not just listen for pump to run, also check reading on coolant temp sensor, but sounds like fuel pump /filter issue. just because you hear pump run doesnt mean its putting our right amount of pressure. also check for plugged catylic convertor
Sounds like the seal in the new clutch master cylinder. I've seen that same problem in the hand brake system in small 2 and 4 seat airplanes. ( I'm and aircraft mechanic) The problem is not air in the lines so bleeding won't help. The piston seal is intermittantly failing to seal. That is whty the function can return without any apparent reason as the seal has seated itself. The only cure is to replace or rebuild the master cylinder. ( Yes, even new or rebuilt ones can have a defective or improperly installed piston seal)
Most likely a cam sensor or a crank sensor. The timing belt didn't break did it? They also have an issue with the timing belt tensioner going bad and jumping a tooth.
i would start by checking the spark plugs and leads. if that ok i would think there is a problem with the dispack that the spark plug leads fit to, if its cracked or any rust i would replace.
