2004 chrysler pt cruiser with only 25k miles and i got a codes po300 and po301 misfires any help?

    yes it misses and stumbles and just is rough riding and I took to pepboys and they put it on a machine to tell me the codes and they said chrysler has a bulletin about it and when I pulled up my vin# online it said no recalls, so was just wondering if anyone else out there has this problem on this year and what is the likley cause...I know its cyclinder 1 and a misfire so I am having a friend change the spark plugs and wires and see what happens...just have to find them first too though..LOL so any help or info would be appreciated its a 2004 with only 26779 miles on it just got the car 4 mos ago. thnks all

I recently traded my 2004 PT Cruiser in for a 2008 PT Cruiser. I had the exact prolem with my 2004. I also got a code that mentioned low voltage. After I replaced the battery, the check engine did not come back on.

Good place to start, but If you check directly with Chrysler there may be a technical service bulletin, that isn't posted yet. Have the codes cleared when work done, and see what happens.

CODES P0441 AND P0304 CAME UP ON TEST? WHERE DO I START ON TRYING TO FIGURE OUT THE PROBLEM


P0441 = EVAP PURGEFLOW MONITOR that means insufficient or excessive vapor flow detected during evaporative system .
P0304= a misfire in cylinder # 3 answers to these p0441 a bad gas cap possible , and p0304 possible bad coil on cylinder #3, try clearing codes and see if they show back up or you get bad performance , then try replacing gas cap and then coil pack . I really hope this gets you on the right track .

PO300 and P1399 are random cylinder misfire detected.
PO301 cylinder 1 misfire
PO302 cylinder 2 misfire
PO304 cylinder 4 misfire
PO306 cylinder 6 misfire
I would say that you have damage to the ignition wiring harness or you ECM is failing.

P0300 - Combination misfire detected
P0301 - Cyl 1 misfire
P0302 - Cyl 2 misfire

If it has a lot of miles it needs a tune up.
Fill tank with high quality premium fuel
Check fuel pressure

2004 chev. silverado 6.0 liter. The engine code po300 and po322 came up. I reset the codes and po 322 came up again. I just changed the plugs approx. 400 mile ago. Could the codes come from a bad plug or...


Yes they could a PO300 is a generic misfire code. PO301 would be cylinder number 1 so on and so forth. check the resistance of your plug wires they should be approx. 7000 ohms per foot. it could also be a coil over plug. primary resistance of the cops should be 1-3 ohms. but since this is a misfire it would be your secondary. which should be between 20000-30000 ohms. hope I helped you out. 2003 pt cruiser has 3 errors they are 440,441 and 303. please help


440 and 441 relate to the evaporative prurge flow system and 303 is a misfire detectec in cylinder 3.
