Question about 2000 Subaru Impreza
I recently hit a dip in the road in my impreza turbo and the engine cut out, the engine starts but a few seconds later it cuts out again, it sounds like ther is no fuel being pumped through or a fuel cut off switch has been set off, if ther is a fuel cut off on it can anyone tell me where it is pleasee????
This is not the turbo it is the over-powering the clutch, it happens in 5th because that is when most worn clutches slip, it is the biggest load, replace your clutch.

SOURCE: driving down road truck cuts off
I had the same thing happen in my 1985 Nissan Pickup. It would just cut off. It was the fuel pump regulator switch on my vehicle. About a $50 item from autozone.

You should have a fuse & a relay. Check # 11 fuse it should be 15 amp.& may be for your fuel pump. Do you have owners manual by chance, or does cover of fuses have label?

DIPSTICK IS HIDING UNDER A POWER STEERING HOSE ON THE DRIVERS' SIDE, NEAR THE BACK OF THE MOTOR. HE WILL NEED A LONG FUNNEL TO PUT TRANSMISSION FLUID IN THE DIPSTICK TUBE. IF IT SAYS ADD, THEN ADD A PINT OF FLUID. HOPE THIS HELPS. THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR AN HONEST RATING. BEST OF LUCK. THANKS FOR USING FIX-YA
