U don't have OBD 2 so if that is the kind of scanner u have it won't work, the diagnostic plug is for OBD 1, it is a triangle shape and requires a Ford Stat test scanner to acces the ingo from the plug.

All I want to do is find the OBD2 port on my 2004 Mazda Tribute. I have a device to plug in but the photos I've seen so far don't fit my "truck/car".

Under the dash in front of the driver is the most common position. Below is a picture of the OBD2 diagnostic plug

Where is the diagnostic connector located on a 1993 Ford E350 van

Under the hood, it is red or black triangle, but you need a special to took to scan at that connector. This is a OBD1 system (AKA EEC IV), Not OBD2

Where is the obd located on a 95 taurus sho

1995 was a change-over year for OBD systems.
If the OBD2 plug is not under the steering column, the OBD1 plugs are under the hood near one of the strut towers.

Where is the obd2 plug in on an 1993 mercury cougar ar7

Your 93 does not have an OBDII plug. Those didn't start until 1995 or 1996, depending on the vehicle. There is a diagnostic plug under the hood. They moved them around a bit but it is usually on one of the inner fenders.

Where is the engine computer connection to connect the code reader?

The OBD diagnostic link connector (where you plug it in) is located Under hood, passenger side, upper firewall, mounted beside A/C evaporator housing on firewall. I hope this helped and good luck.

1993 ford taurus 3.8l walgon: Engine is running very rough and seems like it may be getting too much gas. There is no smoke coming from the exaust. The plugs have just been replaced,

Run a diagnostic tool. It is a sensor (O2 or Map) that will cause this but need the scan tool to diagnose the specific problem. Your connections should be under the hood. Good luck

1993 ford tarus 3.0 engine had weak spark after changed coil fired a couple of times know no spark? any ideas

Using a volt meter disconnect the electrical plug to coil and check with key on to be sure there is at least 12 volt to coils. if not or voltage is low the ignition switch may be bad, have an assistant jiggle the key in ignition while you are looking at the meter to note voltage fluctuations if any are noted ign. switch is bad also check all fuses under dash as wellas in engine compartment.
