I need a replacement wiper blade for the rear window on 04 Sienna

Anyone know a replacement wiper blade for the rear window? I bought one that the little computer at Wal-mart said. The length was correct but the blade would not fit at all.

Any problem getting the old one off? I bought the replacement arm at the Toyota dealership. Paid more, but was not sure another would have the right slot.

You gotta flip the wiper arm up, and turn the blade out. Underneath you will find a tab in the center. Press in on this tab and slide the blade out.

SOURCE: Replacing rear wiper blade

I purchased a Trico "Exact Fit" #12-A rear wiper blade at Advance Auto Parts for my 2006 RAV4. The directions are very clear. It took about 3 minutes. The key is to open the plastic cover at the bottom joint of the blade by spreading the both sides with your index fingers and pulling straight out. This opens the cover and allows you to bring the blade to a 90 degree angle.

SOURCE: replace rear windshield wiper

I had the same problem and using the recommendations above tried to slide the old wiper off and use the 13" blade but it was too short. I took the wiper and arm to Kragen and showed them how they sold me the 13" but it was too shirt for the arm and they apologized saying it took a 14. The guy said inside is bracket that fits on your wiper arm, I said I don't think so Ive heard its a custom part and he said he would go put it on for me. By the time I was dome paying the difference between the 2 wipers he walked back in and said all done and it works perfect entire new wiper not just the blade so for $14 just drive your 4Runner down and swear to them it cant be done.

2011 equinox rear wiper replacement

I just replaced mine. Lift the rear wiper up as far as it will go. which is not very far. Place your fingers on each end of the wiper and pull down. The blade is held in place by a clip. Gentle pressure will downward toward the window will cause it to disconnect. An extra pair of hands to hold the plastic cover up helps. Note the orientation of the blade when you disconnect it. The replacement blade may have a clip on it which may need to be removed. Place the replacement blade in the same orientation as the one that was removed and clip back in place.

How do you replace the rear wiper on a 2009 Scion XD?

You can make use of following procedure to replace rear wiper in ur scion xd.
Pull the rear wiper arm away from the rear window in order to access the wiper blade.

  • Locate the hinge where the blade mechanism meets the wiper arm and squeeze the plastic tabs on the blade in order to release it from its locked position on the arm. In some cases, instead of tabs, there is a small button that must be pressed to release the wiper from the arm.
  • Detach the blade from the arm and slide the old blade out. Insert the new blade into the wiper arm and lock the blade in place.
  • Return the wiper arm to its set position. Before driving, wet the window and test the wiper to make sure it is operating properly.

I went to a Honda dealer and bought a replacement wiper blade (rubber part only) for about $6, and the guy in parts came outside and changed it for me. You slip off the rubber blade only from the wiper assembly and then slip in the new blade.
