Question about 1989 Jeep Cherokee
Was driving up a mountion was working fine until we pulled over and turned to jeep off. when we went to start it again, it would'nt start back up. It did'nt even sound like it tryed too. It just made a click when you turn it over and a click when you turn it back. temp. gadge was @ 240. checked starter and it's fine. any suggestions ?
Did u try checking the bolt from transmission to engine to make sure they were tight.

Normally temp increases a bit right after shut-down Unless overheating I would not be concerned about temp yet. If you can turn the engine by hand (only try with key off) and starter is good, check battery connections at both ends of cables (at starter, block and battery.) Check that battery has 12v. Check small wire on starter (solenoid trigger wire) it should have 12v with key turned to start position. That's enough to do for now,,,if you haven't resolved this, post again.
