Thanks THUNDERGOD.See this has happened before i went out to start it up one morning and it would'nt. so i replaced the battery and it still would'nt so then i replaced the starter, then it worked again. i don't know if it was the problem but it worked after that. so when this happened to me now i took the starter back off,and i just went out and put it back on again and checked all the wires like you suggested and it started right up. i don't know if maybe a wire was loose or not.but do i still need to worry about this happening again or checking for other problems? i also got some advice on checking the fuel pump relay or checking or replacing a neutral switch on the transmission!! is any of this necessary since it started up now ?

Normally temp increases a bit right after shut-down Unless overheating I would not be concerned about temp yet. If you can turn the engine by hand (only try with key off) and starter is good, check battery connections at both ends of cables (at starter, block and battery.) Check that battery has 12v. Check small wire on starter (solenoid trigger wire) it should have 12v with key turned to start position. That's enough to do for now,,,if you haven't resolved this, post again.

1997 jeep grand cherokee won't start after alarm went off

I just had the same prblem. Reconnect your alarm first of all. You need to use your key bob "remote" to deactivate the alarm before starting. It is a feature "good one" i might add that should someone try to steal it the jeep will not start until u deactivate it w theke bob.

My 89 jeep cherokee won't. Start it will turn over

what motor? is the coil producing spark?? If so, check the fuel pressure, if the fuel pressure is low drop the tank, repace the pump and also replace the filter (located on the frame forward of the tank). If the coil is not producing spark, check for shorts or opens in the circuits as well as the IGN fuses. If there is NO fuel pressure at all check the fuel pump fuses and make sure the fuel pump is plugged in and there are no opens in the circuit

89 jeep cherokee 4.0 it bogs down and will accelerate in drive

Make sure that the timing is correct and that the spark from the coil is healthy. Problem can also be with the overdrive in the converter. If it's stuck on it can do that too.

if the blower motor isnt working you would have no air flow till driveing, easy way to check it is to remove it connect the wires back and turn it on,but be carefull and hold on to it tight,as for removal its not to hard just need to the location its on the passenger side firewall.
