Question about 1999 Mercury Cougar
Disconnect - battery cable, remove the air cleaner, remove upper two starter bolts, (note the location of the - battery cable at starter), disconnect the wireing from the starter solenoid (this would be easier on a hoist), remove starter bolt remove starter. reverse for reinstallation.
