Question about 2007 GMC Yukon Denali

Open Question

Need to install a ceiling mount screen for 2007 Denali

I had the ceiling mount screen stolen and they took both sides of its wiring harness. I bought a replacement screen (Panasonic 15294214) which comes with the female side of the screen. I am trying to match up wire for wire but the colors are not the same. I would just replace the entire harness to the dvd player but it was quoted as >$400. I also do not want to try to take the entire headliner down myself.

The DVD player side has has the following color wires: red w/ white, green, white w/black, black, white, green w/black, orange w/black, and one w/out shielding.

The screen side's wiring harness has: white, 2 x black, green, yellow, red, blue, and orange

Does anybody have a diagram or knowledge of which color goes where?

2008 envoy Denali right turn signal and right hazard quit. replaced relay worked for 20 minutes of driving then right turn and right hazard quit again??? LEFT SIDE IS FINE

Sounds like you have a wiring issue ! Maybe when you installed the turn / hazard relay you moved the wiring harness in such away that made it work. Grab the wiring harness an do the wiggle test an see if it works . Mite have lose connection where the relay plugs in, close the terminals a little bit. I don't know what you know about electrical systems on automobiles or I'd tell you to do a voltage drop test to find the problem . Need volt ohm meter an a wiring diagram to do this test. WHY PASSENGER SIDE HEADLIGHT BULB ON 2007 YUKON DENALI WILL NOT WORK

Remove plug from light bulb, using 12 volt test light hook up ground to negative side of battery, then touch probe on positive terminal to make sure test light is functional.next- turn lights on and then probe the plug at each terminal- there should be one wire that has power and the test light should light up. If the test light lights up then you need to test the circuit ground for the wiring harness. So remove the test light clamp and put it on the positive post of the battery. Now retest the test light by touching the probe on the negative post on the battery and the test light should light up. Next with the headlights off-probe the other terminals and if there is a good ground in the harness the light will light up- if not then there is an open condition in the headlight harness- a broken wire or a bad system ground. If both tests are performed and either condition does not happen then a wiring schematic will be needed to perform the repair. This is after all fuses are presumed good.

A c not blowing hot or cold air

The wire harness is know to melt in your Yukon, there is a wire harness upgrade that GM has in there parts department to address your Blower motor issues. This harness has been updated to address the failures in the original (OEM) harness and previous versions of the AC Delco PT2195 pigtail and GM 15862656 pigtail. All wire gauge sizes have been upgraded to easily handle the current demands of the Blower Motor at all speeds. Heavy duty 12 ga. wires for the 12v power, ground (-) and the high blower circuit.
Good luck and thank you for using Fixya.

The needle on my gas gauge (99 denali) shakes when I turn on the engine. Anyone heard of that?

Mine wouldn't start if the temp was below freezing outside. Dealer tracked problem to after market alarm system that was installed to the main wiring harness. He de-installed the alarm system and replaced the wiring harness. Like magic that and 4 other incideous little problems disappeared.
