I'd say probably .060 but see sticker on rad support or underside of hood to be sure.

Both the manual and autolite's website say the same .060

How do you change the spark plugs on a 2001 chev. silverado 4.8 vortec engine?

Usually somewhere on the engine or in the engine compartment, there is a sticker with the engine specifications. The spark plug gap should be included. If not .032 or an inch should be close.

Listed in the owner's manual and under the hood on a placard. Also the parts store where you buy the plugs can supply this info.

2.0L SOHC (single overhead cam) AGSF34EE plugs gap 0.054
2.0L DOHC (dual overhead cam) AZFS32FE plugs gap 0.050
The plug numbers are the motordraft numbers

OE GAP: .060" (Original Equipment Manufacturer and/or Original Equipment Equivalent)
