I bought the $13 resistor but don't know where the blower is located. I will check where you suggested and go from there :)

I had the same thing happpen with mine. The unit is located behind the glove box and is just left of the fan held in place with two screws. I bought a new resistor from radio shack and installed it in the unit.

Try looking under hood, on passenger side firewall area, behind strut tower. I'm in process of confirming differnt locations for different years, so If it's not there, let me know & be patient, I'll get back to you.

2001 dodge caravan front heater does not work but the rear heater works fine

Your resistor is burned out that is why you only get high speed. Also the front blower motor is out. But check the wiring going to the resistor and make sure it is not burnt, if it is it also has to be replaced. Just went through the same issues.

01- Dodge Caravan AC Heater Control it only works on high none of the speeds work when I rotate the switch from low to high. Is this a swith problem or a motor problem?

Most likely neither. The most common cause is that an electrical device called the blower motor resister block, has failed. This device provides all the slower speeds. It is generally mounted in the HVAC [Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning] box, very close to the blower motor. FYI, we mechanics call the fan motor inside the cabin the blower motor. The electric fan motor behind the radiator is called the cooling fan motor.
If the resistor block is OK, then you have either a bad fan speed switch or a melted electrical connector at that switch. 95% of the time, the resister block is the problem.

2001 dodge caravan Ac comes on but will not blow ay any speed . I replaced blower motor resistor.

try tapping the bottom of the blower motor with the blower motor speed selector turned to high and the key on. If the blower motor starts working replace it.

Another thing you can try is unplugging the blower motor and supplying your own power and ground wires to the blower motor. It doesn't matter what pin on the blower motor you supply power or ground. It will work either way. If it doesn't than replace the blower motor. If it does you might have a bad control head.

You could also have a bad blower motor relay or blower motor fuse located in the underhood fuse block. There should be power at the dark blue wire at the blower motor with the key on and the fan speed set to any position.

here's a how to article I did on blower motor operation.

Heater blower motor only has off and high nothing inbetween

This is a common problem (mine in a 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan) with the Blower Motor Resistor.
Disconnect the Battery and wait at least 2-mins (to prevent a accidental discharge of the Passenger side Air Bag).
Remove the Dash-Glove Box. The Resistor is located directly behind the Glove Box on the fire wall, and is held on with two (2) (I believe) 8mm screws.
Unplug the Resistor, remove the screws and it pulls-out.
Install the new Resistor, install the screws, plug back in, reconnect the Battery and recheck the Blower Speed operation. Re-disconnect the Battery (Air Bag!) and reinstall the Glove Box.

Heat/Cool Blower stuck at high speed

you have a blower motor resistor/power module causing the problem. drop the glovebox door all the way down look to your right and the back of the plug will be looking at you. remove 2 screws and replace part with new part. be sure before you start to remove the ground wire off the battery.

Have 2001 grand caravan sport 3.3L and the fan switch will only work in the high position, what may be the reason for this? THANKS

sounds like it is the blower fan resistor, there is a wire for every speed of the blower motor. so if a wire burns out, you will loose that speed. the resistor is located behind glove box.

Only High speed blower front on 01 dodge grand carvan

Sounds like you need to replace the Blower Motor Resistor. It is located on the bottom of the heater box about where the passengers left foot would rest, behind glove box. It has 2 screws holding it on.

Front blower motor on 2002 dodge grand caravan sport only works on high speed

it's the blower motor resistor , it's behind the glove compartment, just make sure you disconect the neg. for battery first, open the glove comp. and pull the rubber stops towars the center so you can let the glove comp. hang all the way to the floor , the resistor it's in front of you, disconect the two conectors there's one big with 6 0r 8 wires coming out and another with only two, take them out by pressing on the side of each one, remove it , put the new one on , conect the battery and your done. it's about $ 13.00 at o'riellys auto parts .

I hope this fix yor problem.

Air conditioner blower motor resister on dodge grand caravan

in my 2004 grand caravan it's behind the glove box and left of the blower motor. disconnect the wires first then remove the 2 screws to pull out the resistor unit. First make sure you have removed the negative of your batterie. I had the same pm that prevented the blower motor to operate in any speed. I hope this will help
