Check to make sure you are getting fuel pressure. Can you hear the fuel pump come on? Will it start with carb cleaner being sprayed in the carb (watch for back fire)? If it will start with carb spray and you can not hear the pump its the pump. Try to get it to go like a old stuck starter. Have someone turn the key and use your fist to bang the fuel tank sometimes that will get it to go. Sounds like you need a pump.

Chevy Tahoe 2000 Z71 won't start!

Just for the record, its a throttle body not a carb.
Sounds like the injectors are not getting power or a ground signal from the computer.
You would check them with a meter or low voltage test light.

I was driving my jeep grand cherokee and it just started bogging down when i accelerated i came to a stop shut it off and it will turn over and start no problem but will not stay running just stalls out ...

Sounds like it is not getting fuel or air? Check your air filter and clean it out. Possibly remove it completely to see if this helps keep your vehicle runing the next time you test it. Check your fuel filter. It sounds like it cannot get enough gas to keep it running. Try cleaning your fuel lines with something similar to gum out. You add it to your gas tank when it is on empty and then add a certain amount of gallons of gas as indicated on the can to complete the clean out process. I would recommend cleaning at least twice.

When engine warms up and you are driving and you let up on gas pedal to come to a stop it quits. Try to start it won,t start squirt little gas in carb it will start but if you let up on gas pedal it quits...

Change the fuel filter.
You may have to also change the fuel pump (sounds like it is getting weak) , but the filter is the cheaper/first step in the process.

Not starting up

I had a similar problem with an S-10 some time back, and I understand that the 88 C1500 has the same fuel pump setup. Two questions you must answer: First, did it run out of gas just before the problem started? Second, if you remove the air cleaner cover and pour just a little gas into the carb/throttle body, will the truck start and run until the gas is used up? If you answer 'yes' to the last, or to both questions, the problem may be in the electric fuel pump mounted in the gas tank. In my case, when my son was driving the truck, he would let the fuel level get really low before putting gas in the tank. Fine contaminant particles would build up on the fuel screen, and caused premature pump failure when some of the contaminant particles passed through a small hole in the screen and wrecked the pump impeller. Give it a look-see.
