Check the fluid level after the vehicle has cooled down to see if it is low....even if you had items fixed.

Temp gauge shows warm until i start to drive. it has plenty of antifreeze. whats up?

From the description you've given it seems like your water pump isn't pumping water efficiently enough at idle speeds. Do you hear a chirping or any sound from the water pump? Does the belt squeak?

1997 Chevy Silverado 1500 heater has not worked since water pump was replaced

did you bleed the system. you have to run the vehicle with the rad cap off ,controls set to hot and keep it revved up to 1500 rpm.it should girgle inside indicating movement of water. top up and overflow the rad and close the rad cap.once the heat comes thru. if no heat then go after the thermostat.

My 2004 dodge neon is over heating, i replaced the radiator and the thermostat. It is still overheating, can you help me figure out the problem?

i had this same problem with a 2004 dodge stratus. turned out to be mixed coolants. check to make sure that the thermostat is opening and closing properly. you can do this by dropping the thermostat into boiling water. if it opens its not that. could also be the water pump, to check this look for a slow drip of coolant coming from the water pump. water pump has what is called a weep hole and when it goes bad coolant will drip from the weep hole.

What makes a car run hot?

I would replace the temp sensor since youve already done pump. Also make sure your fan is kicking on could be a bad fan relay.

1999 dodge stratus 2.4 engine is where radiator coolant is boiling and car is making strange noise

This could be a number of things causing this. It could be the thermostat, the water pump, the fans not coming on, or a blown head gasket. The blown head gasket will cause you to get water in the oil most of the time. But it is going to be one of these. I would start with the thermostat. It is the cheapest. Water pump is the least likely.

CHECK ANTIFREEZE IN RADIATOR.IF LOW ADD COOLANT.CHECK FOR LEAKING RADIATOR HOSES AND WATER PUMP HOSE.ALSO CHECK RADIATOR FOR LEAKS.IF ALL GOOD NO RADIATOR LEAKS.REPLACE THERMOSTAT.IF STILL OVER HEATS AFTER REPLACING THERMOSTAT .CHECK COOLING FANS FOR OPERATION AND COOLANT SENSOR.ALSO CHECK TO MAKE SURE WATER PUMP WEEP HOLES IS NOT LEAKING.BECAUSE A BAD WATER PUMP CAUSES OVERHEATING ALSO.

Car leaks a lot of antireeze near front of engine

It sounds like a bad water pump. Start by checking hose first. then check thermostat gasket , then check water pump. Replace radiator cap. It is not releasing pressure causing the pressure to find the weakest point somewhere else.
