Horn not working/can't find the horn in a chevy 2000 silverado

The high horn is not sounding anymore and the low horn just stopped sounding as well. I'm looking to replace the horns in the engine comaprtment but I can't find it. I looked under the truck just behind the bumper area but I don't see it. Would you have a photo showing the exact loctaion?

It should be in between the radiator and the grill usually hanging under the top radiator support close to the hood latch or some times could be mounted to the inner fender under the hood.

My horn is only a high pitch. Whats wrong?

Assuming you have high and low horns, the low could have stopped working, or the one horn you have could be about to fail.
The horn uses a magnet to vibrate a plate to make the noise.
You could try a new replacement.

2000 chevy silverado horn not working

There is three horns on a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado. One on the right side ( Driver's Side ) And two on the Passenger side behind the Fog light assembly that can be accessed by taking out the headlight, real easy to do. The drivers horn is down behind the fog lamp as well but is way harder to get to and I believe that one might be for the alarm factory installed. Good Luck. Robb

My horn on my 2005 silverado sounds muffled is there a way to fix or adjust it and where is the horn located?

the horn is located in one off two place in front of the radiator/core support or in the fender. If it is in front of the core support , you may have to remove the plastic cover to view it. Most times when there is a muffled sound it is because there are usually two horns a high an low and on has failed or corroded. No matter what style you have check for corrosion, because it weakens the strength of the horn. I hope this helps

FUEL PUMP FOR CHEVY SILVERADO

fuel filter? how about power to the fuel pump, loose ground wire to chasis? wiring harness? terminals clean at point of connection?did you check the fuel pump relay? Relay is located in electrical center under the hood on the driver side.relay and fuse legend will be on bottom side of cover, you sould be able to switch with another relay that you know works, ie: switch horn relay with fuel pump relay, honk horn to insure both relays are working when either relay is inserted into horn slot. Do you by chance have the electrical schematic drawing for the fuel pump?
