Replaced pcm now doesn't start?

Original problem was the throttle posistion sensor. I ordered a new pcm- it's been programmed with my VIN and flashed. Installed no problem. Now the car won't start, crank, or turn over. It's got a new battery, and all the interior lights, dash, and keyless entry work no problem. Was able to crank with the old pcm. Visually inspected for broken fuses under dash. Is there a way to do a reset? Passkey?

This is a bad PCM. Try to disconnect the security system first and if it still does not start then it is the PCM.

SOURCE: Cannot start 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan

No preferences as to charger, as long as it has trickle charge option (slower, but better for battery). Would like to see battery load test done by parts store to see battery condition, but a simple charge may be it. Let me know how it goes, hopefully you will have it up and running soon.

SOURCE: Dash lights, parking lights & interior lights don't work

Somebody left a wire harness unplugged. Look under the dash around the steering column, find something dangling that will fit into something else dangling. Undangle by connecting.
Or:
Take it back to whomever changed the steering sensor, their bad!

SOURCE: how to program a new remote keyless entry for 2002

1. Press LOCK button 5 times at 2 second intervals to resynchronize remote.
2. Insert key into the ignition switch. Turn ignition to the RUN position (as far as you can
go without cranking engine). Wait for ignition chimes to stop.

3. Using the working remote, press and hold the UNLOCK button on the remote for 4 to 10
seconds.

4. Within the specified 4 to 10 seconds, continue pressing the UNLOCK button and then
press the PANIC button ( on the programmed remote ) for 1 second and release both
buttons. A chime will sound to indicate that the remote programming mode has been
entered ( allow 3 seconds for chime to sound ).

5. Within 30 seconds of the chime, press and release the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons
simultaneously then press and release just the UNLOCK button on the same remote.
A chime will sound indicating the remote has been programmed. Press and release
the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously and then press the UNLOCK button on
each new remote you wish to program at this time. Locks will cycle after each additional
remote is programmed.

6. Turn the ignition OFF and remove key.
7. Test Remotes.

Chrysler sebring code p0513

P0513 stands for invalid SKIM Key. Basically it means that the "computer chip" that is in your ignition key which has a special code is not recognized by your vehcile compter (PCM). In most cases that I have come across is that either your VIN is not entered or is the incorrect VIN programmed into the PCM. Have you recently changed the PCM ? You may try another ignition key but I doubt that would work unless you are using the wrong key for the vehicle. You will need special diagnostic computer programs in order to correct this problem. Most likely your PCM will need to be "Flashed" to the VIN. This really isn't a weekend/backyard/part time mechanic fix. Hope this helps you to understand what the code is and what it means. Guessing the vehicle won't start.....

Start and die after plugging in SKIM module

You do have a factory secuity system, and the used ignition lock is the problem, instyall the original lock into the used column.

Just had 03 l200 bcm repaired at aes how do i get it to work now

Any PCM, BCM, or ignition switch assembly that's replaced requires what's described as a Passlock re-learn procedure to synchronize the three subassemblies for proper operation. This either takes place at Saturn or during a 30-minute DIY procedure in three 10-minute cycles. The procedure is basically to leave the ignition ON for 10-minutes, cycling the ignition OFF and then ON for another 10-minutes and once more until repeated three times, never starting at any time. After the third cycle the ignition can be turned to start the engine to confirm that all components have successfully been synchronized. A failure to start means an incorrect re-learn procedure was done and needs to be repeated all over again. The security light will flash during the process and eventually turn off altogether as indication of successful re-learing security codes for any new part replaced. What isn't changed are the VIN and mileage that Saturn equipment can do. The security system is divided into three parts; the ignition switch sensors, the PCM, and the BCM. Any one of these subassemblies being replaced requires the BCM to relearn the new replacement part otherwise you'll just have a dead engine unable to run. New BCM's come as blanks that Saturn address' with their Techtool II with VIN and mileage copied from the failed BCM. 'Field' BCM's removed from vehicles still retain VIN and mileage that can only be changed by Saturn. There may be other programmed accessories that have to considered to be compatible to the original one removed for replacement.

key remotes

Replacing the BCM will require the remotes to be reprogammed. The problem is that you need a scan tool with the proper software to perform the programming. Here is the procedure for reprogramming if you have access to a tool. If not you should put a call into a local garage that does diagnostic work or the dealer. If it were just a battery change you could resync without programming.

Cadliac deville 1995 need a throttle position sensor put in where is it located

Having Check Light On & getting a code, doesn't
mean your car needs anything

It means you use the code to direct you to a place
to start testing things.

Parts only get replaced, when they fail a test

You can throw some parts at it & get lucky a few times

What I don't like about that, is you learn nothing from doing
that.

The TPS Sensor (throttle position sensor) pretty much tells
you where it is. On the Throttle Body--- for the past 30 years,
not a well kept secret!

2004 hyundai santa fe parked it last night, went to use it today and it doesn't accelerate, engine runs fine, no warning lights on dashboard lit, can put it in gear and move it, but absolutely no...

The 04 Santa Fe came with three different engines. 4 cylinder (2.4 lit), and two different V6's (2.7 lit & 3.5 lit). The 2.4 & 2.7 use throttle cables connected directly to the throttle plate, but the 3.5 uses ETS (Electronic Throttle System) which uses two sensors (APS & TPS) and a control module (ETSCM). APS=Accelerator Position Sensor, TPS=Throttle Position Sensor, ETSCM= Electronic Throttle System Control Module. There are different diagnostic procedures for each system.
Go to www.hmaservice.com and register your vehicle by VIN #.. you'll then have access to wiring diagrams, shop manuals, service bulletins, campaigns, illustrations and procedures, etc.

2005 Ford Five Hundred 3.0L Hesitational take off cleaned throttle plate and codes p2111 and p2104 still set. Looked in Mitchells and they're telling me to replace PCM. Any other solutions?

You have one bad COP Igniton Coil

The coil is not grounding out in the PCM

A signal is coming back to the TPS Sensor
& you loose it's signal

The PCM then doesn't know throttle position %
and sets a 2104 & 2111 & you think that you have
a bad Throttle Body Motor (TACM)

A dealer will charge you $1000.00 & fix nothing

Buy one coil for $35 to $50.00 & install yourself
You may have to walk the new coil around a few times
& drive the car 30 miles each time, until you get the bad coil

Repair shops are not good with Fords & Dealers are useless

You should have other Misfire Codes & lots of them

Give them to me

If I replaced the PCM on the 2005 dodge ram truck would I have to reprogram the keys to make the truck run?

If you key has a chip in it, you will probably have to get your ECM reprogrammed with the proper VIN, since it no longer matches the original VIN on your Vehicle. I don't think the dealer would program your keys to a mismatched VIN number, so more than likely you will need your ECM reprogrammed with the proper VIN. This will need to be taken to the Dodge Dealership to be fixed.
