Question about 1995 Pontiac Trans Sport

1 Answer

Some thing in the wiring seems bad.

My 1995 Pontiac Trans port started acting up when I last cranked it and is still doing the same thing.
When I started it, the tac didn't work, the heater fans,(front and back) didn't work, the ABS lite was on, both drivers side and pass. side power windows would not work, and the door chime would not cut off with lifgts on. Radio worked, power stearing was fine. The trans mission was sluggish like it would not start in 1st gear, or the engine lacked power.
Checked all the fuses, OK
What's wrong?

1995 pontiac trans port starts up shuts off

Someone will need to figure out if you are dealing with a no fuel or no spark problem to proceed.
Could be a relay or a long list of other things.

I just replaced the ignition module the ignition coil the throttlr positioning sensor and tje coolant temp sensor.on my 1995 pontiac trans sport 3.1. It also has a new battery and it still wont start. Do I...

Have you checked for spark or fuel pressure? If your missing spark the solution may be as simple as a new crank sensor. If you don't have fuel pressure than you might have a bad fuel pump. Have you tried to start the car with a couple shots of carb spray into the throttle body? If it starts than we can reasonably assume you have spark and are missing fuel. Let me know which of the above you are missing and I'll be a happy to get you pointed in the right direction.

I have a 1995 ford explorer, lately it seems as if the trans is pulling, but when the gas is lightly pressed it seems to shift correctly what do u think the problem could be.

First thing I would do is change trans fluid and filter if trans is acting out of the "norm". On cars, trans fluid and filter should be changed every 50k, on trucks and vehicles that do frequent towing, trans fluid should be done every 30k. (I'm assuming this is an automatic trans - you didn't mention)

Where is crank sensor 1995 trans sport 3.1

there is no crank sensor on 3.1, only 3800. I found that out while checking myself. However if you are having a cranking problem there is a fusible link that hooks to your starter. If that link is broken, it will not allow you to crank. I can only describe it as 2 smaller wires connects to the fusible link which then connects to the starter. The haynes repair book has a wiring diagram in the back but just ignore the sensor part of the diagram. After replacing the link i was able to crank after all my researching checking for a sensor. Hope this helps someone.

98 pontiac trans port don the coil pack should all 3 plugs be plugged in

All coil packs are attached to ignition module. Then module should have two wires running to Crank Sensor. If there are 3, then one goes to tachometer

I have a 1997 trans port when u are driving it jerks and the faster u get the worse the jerking gets but when it is setting still its fine. when u go 10 or 15 miles it starts doing it so bad it turns off

You have bad motor or transmission mounts check it with someone stepping on the gas and the brake and have them put it in forward then reverse watch how much engine play there is or how far it travels back and forth if it's more than a half inch that’s your problem, if not post here and will give you the next procedure to check.

I have a 1995 Blazer and last night i was driving and it acted like i shifted into neutral... it will be fine till about 25-30 mph then acts the same way? i have 2nd gear though and it wors fine??

The problem is one of a few things. Bad or low fluid. shift solinoid in the trans going bad. or pump in the trans getting very weak.

this is best checked by a service shop specializing in trans work.

hope this fixes the problem.

Ps. dont forget to rate the solution. Thanks.
