It's the battery. get a better one.

I bought a yellow top Optima 3 months ago over the internet. To make a long story shorter, it craps out. A 200.00 battery craps out after 3 months? I go to 3 different local dealers of Optima. None are that fired up about the Optima battery- most think it lasts no longer than a regular battery, but costs twice as much. The Optima makes claims of lasting longer, but its warranty does not reflect this claim. Now to try get this piece of **** warranteed- it has to go through 2 days of testing to see if there has been an internal failure of the battery. They weigh the battery to see if you screwed it up while charging it and allowed the gasses to escape- yes, you need a special charger and must follow specific insructions outlined by Optima. Where are these instructions? God only knows- they didn't come in the box with my Optima and I can't find them on the website. In the meantime, I have to buy another battery so I can get to work during the 2 day testing Optima testing period. Finally, a very nice Optima dealer says the Yellow Top is toast. TIme to get a replacement. The internet dealer won't answer my messages. After two days of this, I call Optima's national customer service. They tell me that they never recommend buying the Optima over the internet. I ask- "Do you know this internet company and do you supply your product to them?" "Yes we do sir". Well......duh! Finally they agree to send me a replacement Optima- of course, the Optima dealer who has been doing all this testing for free must first call them and confirm that it wasn't me that screwed up the battery. So now I have an Interstate battery in my truck with the same specs, same warranty, etc, and a new Yellow Top on the way. No I won't sell my Optima replacement battery to any of my bros' on Toyotanation- I don't want you calling up after three months asking how to test and warranty the damn thing!

The door lock actuators are rack and pinion gear drive, they stick atfer years of use, the only way to repair them is to replace the lock actuators, is it hart to pull the door locks open with your fingers, that is a dead giveaway of this problem.

I believe the seats are bolted to the floor of the van. Make sure you unplug all electrical connections before removing the seats.

you may need to use the control arms, springs and knuckles, as the ball joints of the 93 g20 may not fit the 96 g3500.

I inherited a G20 gladiator chevy van and cannot figure out how to get the spare tire cover off the back door??? It sounds stupid, I know.

Most likely Gladiator conversion vans disappeared like many of the other conversion van companies. I am not familiar with Gladiator vans, but most of the conversion vans use the same setup. The chrome ring around tire is latched near the bottom, and usually padlocked to keep others from stealing your spare. If that is not the case, try http://www.v-sales.com/repair.htm . They still sell conversion parts and may be able to help you. Hope this helps

Where is the jack stored on our 1995 Chevy G20 van

It should be located on the right hand side fender wall on most Chevrolet / GMC Vans. Another location it may be under your hood on one of the fender walls (these is more common with Dodge)

I just had the same problem. If it is a regular van try under the driver seat in a plastic box. If it is a conversion van try in a pannel just behind driver seat on side of van wall behind a pannel that looks like a vent.
