Hi, Freon is no longer used and you need a set of gauges to add refrigerant to your a/c. There is a high pressure side and a low and if you don't know which is which, you can do a lot of damage to your a/c.

Find the A/C compressor. Look a both lines going to it. One line should be bigger than the other. The bigger line is the Low Side (suction port) follow that line it goes to the firewall to the evaporator that is in your dash. The low side pressure port is somewhere in that line between the evaporator and the compressor. That port is where you check low side pressure and add freon. Don't worry if you buy a charging kit from a part store you can't hook it up wrong, the low side port and the high side port are different sizes and the hose won't fit. With the A/C running on high, low side pressure should be about 35psi.
