Question about 1995 Nissan Altima
Hello my check engine light is on i have had this check out and the scanner said mass air flow sensor and emission control is there a way i can check these sensors before i replace the well heres what it does i start my car up and get ready to leave and i give it gas and it seems like it blogs down in power and then it picks up and goes with no problems it does this sometimes when driving but not all the time just from take off or if i give it alot of gas first taking off i have had problems with the distributor in the past more than once with oil getting in the distributor and the seals have been good every time in the old ones could this be it i have take cap off and check i see a little oil in cap but it is not cover all over
You could try unplugging the Mass air flow sensor and driving the vehicle with it unplugged. The ecm will default a good reading for the MAF and if the car runs better or the problem is gone, replace the MAF.
