Heater/ac fan doesn't work

Out of the blue, the fan stopped working (Feb in MN!). It never made any strange noise before simply quitting. Heat is still coming through albeit without the fan. I checked the fuses but found nothing wrong. What needs to be done to get it working again? Part number? Is it difficult to fix? How much to repair?

Thank you

Check it with a test light on both sides of the fuse then check the power lead at the fan with the test light that will tell you weather or not you are getting power start there check your grounds also

I would first check the connections on the back of the fan blower assembly for lose fit. make sure the coupler is tight. if the problem persist, the motor itself may be dead. Click here for blower motor prices and inventories.

No air in front but i have air in rear is there a belt in front ??

Can you hear the front ac/heater fan? They use the same AC compressor so that should be okay. The fan switches fail quite often on those. That controls how much air is pushed by the fan for AC, heat and defrost. The switch is attached to the fan knob on the dash.

Ac/heater fan doesn't work

According to my wiring diagram, the blue and white wire from the blower motor gets power from the key switch. The fan switch and resistor grounds the motor.
No blower fuse is listed.

What's your problem?the fan for the heater quit working

I'm assuming the heat for the inside of your car. Does it work at all? On any of the speed setting? If it doesn't check fuses, check for power and ground at fan. Or if you can see it just bang on it with your fist sometimes that will get it working temp.

My blower fan for the vent, AC and heater and defrost, on my 1999 Buick Regal made strange loud screaming, screeching sounds before it quit altogether. Which fuse would I replace to make it work again?

If the motor was making those kind of noises it is most likely the motor itself needs to be replaced. It turns on bushings instead of bearings and they wear out making that kind of noise when they do.Hope this helps.

The heater just up and quit working in my 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee with no warning whatsoever. I can feel heat coming through the vents when going down the road, but the fan isn't working on any speed....

Does the fan work on A/C? If the fan isn't blowing, check the fuse. Heat when going down the road is simply an indication that the air from outside is coming through the system. If fuse is fine, blower motor is probably out.

Heat/ac fan doesn't work

go to the ac fan resistor first - then check the fan itself (put 12 v), remove climate control and check plug for shortage-melted wires

A/C and heat just suddenly quit working

It is most likely the fan motor's internal brushes have worn out. Either you will have to replace the magnetic brushes, or replace the motor all together. There is a tube and wire harness that will have to be removed. Than there is 3 or 4 bolts that hold motor to firewall.

Fan quit on 87 celebrity, heat ac, etc.. fuse ok ????

Hi
Check for bad connection at heater resistor or try tapping heater motor lightly
with ignition switch on and heater switch on. Could be heater switch connection.
