SOURCE: 2005 Pontiac Vibe having trouble shifting 1st 2nd code P2716 MIL

This is most likely due to a bad solenoid pack in transmission. You could have tranny serviced and see if it helps. Poor fluid condition makes valves stick in those.

SOURCE: I have a 1994 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am with an

It's an exhaust valve inside the transmission, when the solenoid isn't working right, the pressurized fluid can't exhaust through the passages, which can cause rough shifting. It has to be taken to a transmission shop, the transmission pan has to be dropped and possibly the valve body to get at the solenoid. Hope this helped.

Testimonial: "This points me in the right direction. Still need to find out which specific solenoid is affected. Thanks!"

I have a G30 chevy van, out of the blue it decided not to shift out of 1st gear, trans fluid is clean and full, what could be the problem ?

There could be a number of possible reasons why your G30 Chevy van is not shifting out of 1st gear. Some potential causes could include:
  1. Faulty shift solenoids: The shift solenoids are responsible for controlling the flow of transmission fluid through the valve body, which in turn affects the shifting of gears. If the solenoids are not functioning properly, it can cause the transmission to get stuck in 1st gear.
  2. Low transmission fluid pressure: If the fluid pressure in the transmission is too low, it can prevent the gears from shifting properly.
  3. Faulty transmission control module: The transmission control module (TCM) is responsible for controlling the shifting of gears in an automatic transmission. If the TCM is faulty or has malfunctioned, it can cause the transmission to get stuck in 1st gear.
  4. Internal transmission issues: There could be internal issues within the transmission itself that are preventing it from shifting out of 1st gear. This could include worn gears or clutches, or other mechanical issues.
It is recommended to take your van to a qualified mechanic or transmission specialist to diagnose the issue and perform any necessary repairs.

01 accord 2 codes p1751, and p1700

1700 is a generic code for many makes and models referring to a transmission issue.1751 is directed to the shift solenoid valve b. May be able to replace just that solenoid and be ok. Cheaper than a transmission.

P2723 pressure control solenoid

The code relates to a transmission pressure control solenoid that is stuck in the off position. The transmission is then limited to reverse and 3rd gear. You may notice some hesitation or sluggishness.

Good Luck.

Loss of power, transmission issues

code p0700 refers to transmission control system/MIL --malfunction===causes --wiring ---TCM (1)
code po740 refers to torque converter clutch (TCC) solenoid--circuit malfunction===causes--wiring--TCC solenoid--ECM/TCM (transmission control module) (again)
code p0871 refers to transmission fluid pressure (TFP) sensor C -range/ performance problem==causes---wiring--poor connection--TFP sensor--ECM /TCM (yet again)
code p0734 refers to gear 3 ratio (po374 is gear ratio 4) incorrect ratio===causes --wiring--TR sensor/switch--shift solenoids--transmission mechanical fault (causes are the same for po733&734)
code po846 refers to transmission fluid pressure (TFP) sensor B-range/ performance problem===causes ---wiring--poor connection--TFP sensor--ECM/TCM (again). Give the clutch a miss as you still have 1st gear and if the clutch is not working you will not be going any where. Have a pressure test done on the transmission to check for internal mechanical failures (pump ). The rest are sensors are wiring connections , sensor and TCM. My bet is the TCM unit. Have it checked out. What ever you do treat any suggestion of a new transmission with a grain of salt until you are shown proof positive that you need one.

Code p0795 gearbox fault message on dash and stuck in 3rd gear , Will not go into O/D after being driven 5 +miles / 10 minutes .

Hello i can assist you your your fault code you have supplied indicates your pressure control solenoid "C" is malfunctioning this will cause your transmission not to shift properly and will stay stuck in separate gears including 3rd gear.I recommend taking your vehicle into a transmission specialist for proper repair and transmission service this is a delicate job if you have not performed such transmission repairs. You should not be operating your vehicle with this control solenoid malfunctioning.
