Lost car key and fob,I have the valet key but starts for a few second then shuts down and alarm goes off How can I disarm the alarm?

The Valet key is not is not a ignition key only men't to open the trunk ect. your dealer can replace and program a new key for you.

Can't open locked glove box on 2000 Honda Accord using my key. Any Suggestions?

Use the master key, not the valet. The valet key is gray and will only unlock the drivers door and start the vehicle. If you don't have a master key, have one cut at the dealership, but you will need to have the immobilizer chip programmed into the vehicles computer $$$ cost is around $100 for the key and programming. I have a 2003 VW Beetle convertible and the key mechanism only recognizes one of my keys (not the valet or the other standard one). The dealer says the recognition mechanism is known to be defective

not necessarily. I would get a spare key and have it programmed to the car before you loose the key. If you loose the key then you will have to buy a new ignition lock and have the keys programmed again to the car

Lost my main set for a Mazda 323 (1999). Located the spare set, which starts the car, but the immobilizer kicks in. Is there a way of pairing my key to the car, or disconnecting the immobilizer, or is this...

The spare key is the valet key, You can call the dealer and have them cut you new keys for you car. You will need the VIN number and your registration for the car. If it doesn't have chip in it, they can make it for you in a couple of minutes. If it has the chip in it, they will have to order it. Without the chip, the key will cost between $20 and $30 dollars.

Locked out of 04 xtype

Contact the AA or RAC in the UK or the AAA in the USA they can normally get you into your car. At $500 I'd smash the windscreen and climb in then pay the insurance excess to get it fixed ..... that would be $400 saved.

Seriously if the key is in there the valet key is all you need. If it's not there then you need a replacement anyway.

1997 bmw convertable trunk will not open

I vaguely recall reading something in the owners manual of my '97 328 regarding the trunk and the master key. Something about locking things with the master key so that valets cannot open your trunk with the valet key.
Try unlocking the driver door or the trunk with the master key (the original key that had the LED flashlight in it.

The car wont start

Try your spare key, or the valet key in the ignition.
I had this problem too, the key would unlock the doors and release the trunk but would not start the car. Took out the spare key and it started. Go figure? Hope it works for you. I was off to get a new starter put in the car when my GREAT brother in law said, try to valet key, maybe the key lost its memory. He was right and saved me a boat load of money $$$$.
