94 buick p.a. knocking sound

When I get between 2500 and 3k RPMs I get a knock like in the bottom of the engine, I would like to know what this is, and how to fix it. Otherwise, this is one bad girl.

May be a harmonic balancer going bad as these engines do not have bearing problems, unless you don't change oil like you should.

Hello, the knocking noise you are hearing is rod bearings. There is going to be excessive clearance in the rod bearings on the crankshaft. You want to have this seen about as soon as possible or either she will put you walking. Thank you

Slight knocking sound at higher RPMs. Oil light seems to come on occasionally at lower RPMs. Engine previously overheated.

Apparently the 3.5 liter V6 had a lot of oiling problems, see link attached.
Problems That Plague Chrysler 3 5L Engine Create Rebuild Opportunities
The slight knocking you hear may be a valve lifter that has gummed up. The head gasket problem may have allowed some coolant to get into the oil exacerbating gunk buildup. If it a deeper problem like rod bearings, you would have to decide if it is worth the trouble of fixing it or drive it until it drops.

Dtc po321 on a 94 buick park ave runs good check engine light comes on at 2nd start up i replaced;crank sensor cam sensor and modlue

po321 inthe code for the knock sensor error.look for any unusual knock type sounds, such as , noisy rocker arm, harmonic balanced rubber getting loose, or detonation from low octain fuel, or egr malfunction. check to be sure sensor wiring is ok, or that it's not unplugged.knock sensor is there to detect detonation (spark knock) so pcm can ****** timing.

The engine knocks at higher rpm, only at high rpms

First no matter what check the oil level and then if it's a high rev tapping you need to allow the oil to flow through the engine block to try to coat and settle your valves.

But if it's really " knocking " sounds like your lifters and rocker arms are allowing your piston rods to clatter and that needs to be looked into fast.
