If your battery is ok and the ignition on and no lightsCheck fuses and fusable link. Fuses located in fuse box and all should be checked usind a test light with ign on,connect earth clip on test light to a good earth piont then with pointy end of tester touch each side of the fuses. power should be on both sides. Fuseable link located alongside main possitive on battery. sometimes blow and still look ok
"Shorted" wires ALWAYS cause blown fuses or burned fusable links. There may also be damage to your onboard computer. I would recommend having the car towed to a reputable shop that can diagnose and/or repair your electrical system.
ignition switch. the one in the column where the key goes into. not exactly an easy replacement due to the airbag location as sometimes the mount screrws for the key switch retainer will be between the wheel and the column assembly requiring the wheel to be removed.
yeah the main ashtray light and stereo light fuses are normally located in the cab of the car under the dashboard you should also find that the interior light is not working as this is part of the same link. these fuse boxes can be in some obscure places such as the pillar which is only only visible while the door is open, or under the acctual dashboard.
This light is telling you that you have an Airbag Problem. You might want to Locate a Mechanic and have this Checked out. This is not something that you want to try and fix yourself as the AirBags could go off and Cost a Lot more to have the Dah and Sterring Wheel Replaced. Please Rate my Response, I need all the Help that I can get! Thanks!
There is a few fusable links that power that stuff. Did the fuses blow or they no longer have power to them. If the fusable link doesnt blow and there is a short then it will take out all your fuses. I had a fuseable link go and it killed everything.
First make sure that the battery is charged up all of the way and that a positive 12V current is reaching the positive terminal of the starter motor. You can test it with an inexpensive 12V test light available from any auto parts store for about $10. You need that for diagnosing any electrical problems if you have checked the fuses and they are all good. Its also possible that the fusable link got shorted out and that will stop the car from turning over. The fusable links are 3 wires sticking up from a small box on the drivers side shock mount in the engine compartment. Check that they are not burned. If all of that is good, then use your test light to see if 12V current is reaching the ignition switch under the plastic cover behind the steering wheel and on the opposite side of the key.
