Question about 2001 GMC Safari
2001 GMC Safari, No fan for A/C or heater, lights on dash for Grear read out off when car is running, on when key is on first turn/ gauge for temp not working, gas guage not working. Have checked fuses all seem to be good. I have a wheelchair lift and motor got very hot, found postive cable connected to postive cable going to fuse box under hood, it should have been direct to battery. Where would I find the Fusion Link for that fuse box?
Fusible link is in the main battery 12v wire somewhere between the battery and the fuse block. However, if that blew, the truck will be dead. I really depends where the lift wire was connected, and as you pointed out, that is bad as it may have burned out the wire it's connected to - focus on that connection and the other systems on it.

SOURCE: 2003 Sonoma does not turn-over
U have lost the battery, check the cables, if they are clean (no corrsion) replace the battery, modern sealed batteries fail like this, crank fine and then puff nothing, happened to at least 5 times over the years and saw it all the time at work.

SOURCE: 2001 jimmy not starting
You can try this==== take a screw driver and tap on the relay switch with the handle while somebody is turning the ignition. This is only a test, not a definate solution. If you haven't already, check the starter solonoid. My opinion, if the ignition was bad, it wouldn't even click at the relay, but without testing it's hard to say.

It sounds like your cooling fans are not comming on by themselves, but when you turn on the ac it forces them to turn on. Make sure relay is good, then replace coolant temp sensor, this may have failed no telling pcm to turn on cooling fans. Thanks
