Question about 2008 Ford F 450 Super Duty
We have an 2008 F450 that was built as a Rescue vehicle for our fire dept. If the truck sits for more than a week when we try to start it the battery is dead. I checked the cables connected to the battery and it seems the one that operates the dome light on the hood and the flashing of the headlights has .5 AMP continually running even after the fuses are pulled for the light and flashers. Can you tell me what else is connected to that cable that may be drawing on the battery ? Also how can we correct this problem ?
Have the same problem with our F550 brush truck. Vehicle has been to Ford dealer numerous time and its always the same answer....its the pump package draining the battery somewhere, yet we have the pump package wired through a master switch which is always turned off. any ideas would be greatly appreciated... just dont tell me to take it to a ford dealer

If this unit has hand light ( box lights) chargers check them. box lights will kill batteries over 1-2 days

SINCE YOU ARE AN EMERGENCY VEHICLE, I SAY RESPECTFULLY IT MIGHT BE IMPORTANT TO HAVE THIS SERVICED BY AN AUTHORIZED FORD DEALER, BEFORE THE PROBLEM BECOMES MORE LIFE THREATENING TO YOUR EMPLOYEES AND PATIENTS. SOMETIMES THE CHEAPEST FIX IS THE SUREST MOST TIMELY FIX. GOOD LUCK & GOD BLESS
