This is not really a DIY job,you will need some special tools to remove the bearing and refit the new one.If you know enough to remove the hub assembly then i will explain how to remove the bearing and fit the new one, failing which remove the hub assembly and take it to a local engineers/re-conditioners to have the bearing pressed in and out

Right Front Wheel Bearing

sometimes knucke bearings have different sizes, like one side has 4.5, then the other side is 4.6. just make sure that the components are alligned well and if in case a rubber hammer is available, do use it, just apply more grease on the bearing hub, then try to use the rubber hammer to punch the bearing back. please refer to the picture below for the assembly4bb4e51.jpg

Front end of 2001 chrysler sebring is grinding when the car gets to 10 mph. It gets louder the faster it goes. When I turn the car to the right it gets quite.

this could be a brake issue, BUT it sounds more like a wheel bearing that is starting to break apart. I would stop by your local brake shop and get a 'free' brake inspection. they will tell you if it is the brakes or if it a bearing that needs to be replaced. if it is a bearing that is going out make sure you find a mechanic that specializes in Chrysler repair,, this will keep the repair costs down and the turn around time will be around 6 to 10 hours. don't go to the dealer enless the vehicle is still under warranty.
if it turns out that it is a brake disk/pad issue -- the brake shop that you took the car to will be able to do a full disk turn and brake pad replacement in under 1 hour and will only cost around 75 to 100 dollars.

In 2 wheel drive there is a whirring sound from the front end followed by a loud clunk where it feels as though you have run over a large rock or chunk of ice. Does not seem to occur in 4wd

if the whirring you describe sounds like an airplane and increases with speed that would be a wheelbearing and it may be loose to cause the clunk noise. when it is put in 4 wheel drive that can load the bearing up and noise goes away.
