Question about 1993 Ford F150 SuperCab

1993 ford f150 wont shift out of first gear

The truck will go in reverse and in drive but will not shift into second gear it drove fine yesterday but today this is my problem . it has E40D trans with cruse there is no trasmission control module on this one some one said it could be the speed control module but I can't find it. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Long shot but look for a thin rubber tube running from inlet manifold to gearbox and see if ends on this pipe are ok and not split or perished

Some where and some how there is a way to adjust the gear lever indicator, try google it

2005 f150 no drive but reverse works fine


could be a long list of things, all inside the trans.
clutch packs, valve body, solenoids, even a gear shaft

chk the linkage under the truck for any foriegn objects. block the tires and have a friend put light pressure on the shifter while you lightly tap the linkage.

My old boss used to throw em in PARK too - I thought he was nuts!!! best to try a product like LUBEGARD or something first, other wise the governor will need to be cleaned

Chk for vacuum leak or failure of the trans modulator. It's on the trans and mske sure fluid level is correct

Stopped shifting


Happened to mine ,, Simple solution : Take it to transmission maintenance,, they clean up the mesh and fresh fluid,, will shift properly, will run like new.

Speedometer not woking shifting hard 1993 ford f150 4x4 -302


when i bought mine the speedometer odomoter and raido didn't work
put in a fuse that wasnt' in got them all and now when u are driveing it shifts out of gears or sometimes it wont shift past first any ideas?
