Question about 2000 Toyota Corolla
I have reset the computer several times but after 50 to 200 miles the check engine light come back on. I have replaced spark plugs and the coil, and even tried some fuel injector cleaner in the gas. None of this has helped. Any suggestions would be appreciated!! Also I discovered a diganostic port under the hood just in front of the brake fluid reservior.
Does this provide more info on engine problems, and is there DIY readers available for this port. Thanks

Mass Air Flow sensor! Just remove your air filter cover. Go to Auto Zone and purchase some solvent. Spray past the air filter and it should correct the problem. If not, replace the Mass air-flow sensor. This is commonly mistaken for an oxygen sensor. Mine did this and I followed these steps and it fixed the light. BTW, the light stayed on for 5 years before I fixed it. Never hurt anything. It's normally something to do with emissions. Dummy lights. :)

I have a 2005 Toyota Corolla. Yesterday, the check engine light came on. I thought the car was running fine. Later, I noticed the car would **** when the auto transmission shifted from 1st gear to 2nd gear. I also noticed when the car was in the Park position and I put it into Reverse, it would **** backwards. The vehicle has 49,200 miles.
