Question about 1995 Ford Explorer

SIGNAL LIGHTS STOPPED WORKING, BRAKE LIGHTS STOPPED WORKING

AFTER TAKING MY 1995 FORD EXPLOERER THROUGH THE CAR WASH MY SIGNAL LIGHTS STOPPED WORKING RIGHT AWAY. ABOUT 5 HOURS LATER MY BRAKE LIGHTS STOPPED WORKING AND IT WILL NOT GO INTO GEAR AT ALL. THE GEAR SHIFT IS IN PARK AND SEEMS TO BE STUCK THERE. THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A PROBLEM BEFORE. THIS ALL HAPPENED AFTER I WENT THROUGH THE CAR WASH

Use a test light, test for power and ground at the bulb contacts. Then test for power and ground at the wires. Probably needs a new socket, common problem.

try disconnecting the rods from the ignition switch shift lever inhibitor.this is basically the mechanism which prevents you from turning the ignition switch to the 'lock' position when the shift lever is not in the 'park' position

1995 Ford f250 brake lights don't work ad neither do the hazard flashers. I replaced the flasher node and the turn signals began to work but still no brake lights.

You may have a bad signal switch..Your brake lights run through the signal switch..Try hitting the brakes and move the switch around and see if your brake lights come on intermittently..

Brake lights. Cab light works when brake pedal is depressed.Turn signals work properly but no brake lights at rear.Is it in the colum? Vehicle is a 1995 ford F250 4X4

Hi, if the schematic is right, the cab stop light is on the same fuse as the others. And, since there is no relay, the likely problem is the turn signal switch or the wire leading to the turn signal switch. Please let me know if you have questions or need instructions, and thanks for using FixYa.

Rear turn signals and brake lights won't work

Probably the turn signal switch assembly. This is a common problem with the older Fords. The switch is a self contained unit at a cost of about $100.00.
