Question about 1989 Volkswagen Jetta 2 Door
I tried starting my car and it started to turn over, but before it started the battery seemed to die. tried jump starting it but didnt work. Took the battery to auto zone and they said that it was not holding a charge. bought a new battery but car still wont start. any suggestions? Thanks.
There are a couple of possible answers, here...first check all cables and make sure they're clean and well connected. Follow the cable from the battery to the starter area...it should be connected to the selenoid. Again, make sure the connection is firm. Then check all fuses and replace any burned ones.

Ive got a Jetta 2 CSI and had the same trouble. I then discovered that my coldstart packed up, wich you cant even get at the agents anymore. So If you are in the Benoni area I can fix it for you for 'n reasonable price, and you won't have that trouble any longer. Mine is still starting by just touching the key. 0829484343
