Question about 2000 BMW 3 Series
The car will then not start the engine will turn over but not fire after about 20 minutes it will start again
Your gas filter, tank is compramised. I had this several times. The first was a large gas filter that pluged up with dirt. But the other times, it was the screen filter in the gas tank. As the car runs, it sucks up gas from near the bottom of the tank. Stuff that floats in gas is churned up and the vacuum effect of the gas brings everything to that screen. When the car stalls, the dirt falls away and the floating stuff floats away. Then you can start it again but you will have the same problem. The tank will have to be removed and cleaned and I suggest by a professional, it can be heavy and flammible. Have them replace the rubber hoses near the tank while your at it. Start with the fuel filter first too.
