Question about 2000 Buick LeSabre

1 Answer

2000 Buick leSabre - sensors keep coming off & on. I'll be driving along & then the radio will turn off, the seat belt light comes on, the service engine soon light comes on , then lights will go off, the traction control light will come off and then go off, the doors will lock & then unlock. This happens maybe once /week but quite freaky when it does happen when your driving along. The car still keeps running fine. It's just the bells & whistles going off & on.

Sounds like a battery ground, check chassis ground strap coming from - batt terminal to the body. Also the one bellhousing bolt in front of engine down by the starter has ground for sensors.
Check there ,make sure it's tight.

Battery location 2000 buick lesabre

I have a 2001 Buick LeSabre Limited. Pull up on the rear seat cushion along the front edge. The battery is located under the rear seat. Be sure to connect the vent lines to the new battery. This keeps fumes out of the car, and keeps it from corroding the interior surfaces.

Your engine management system thinks something is wrong. Pull the code(s) and follow the indication there. Ususally sensors or wiring..
Do not let it go, more damage ($$) happens.

How do I change the battery in my 2000 Buick Lesabre

The battery for the 2000 Buick Lesabre is under the back seat. I stand inside the car at about the middle of the back seat. Using both hands I pull up sharply on the back seat until it comes up. Remove the seat and you'll see the battery. Changing the battery is the same procedure as any battery. Remove the negative battery clamp first, then the positive, unbolt the battery, and lift it out.

Someone please help!!!! I have a 2000 buick

A cam sensor only helps the computer when cranking and should not make it cut off. Most cam sensors do not go bad, but he magnet on the timing gear will deterorate. To fix that the timing cover will have to come off. Replace the crank sensor they get hot and stop working. When they cool down they will work again until it gets hot.

Engine light and battery light come on at same time and speed up

You need to Check the Belt and Belt Tensioner. If the Tensioner is not keeping the Belt Tight it will not allow the Battery to Charge and will result in the Lights among other Critical Things Going Wrong. Please Rate my Response, I need all the Help I can get! Thanks!
