If the fuse is OK, check if you have power at the horn, if yes, replace the horn, if not check the switch or wire. make sure you have a good ground too.

Ford explorer horn problems

Of course, a dirty ground may be not doing its job. If you can't clean the ground enough to get a good contact, look around the same area for another possible grounding location.
Depending on your vehicle, it may also have a horn relay separate from the fuse itself.

Horn problem on 2001 ford explorer xlt

Hi there,

Inspect the following components, in this order (with key off) until you get it working:

** Disconnect the plugs from the Horn terminals. Run separate jumper wires from the Batt (NEG & POS), to the horn. If horn does not work, then replace horn. If horn works fine, then continue....

** Check fuse # 10 (15A), in the Battery Junction Box - replace if defective. Check horn operation.

** Check Horn Relay (also in the Battery Junction Box) - remove the relay, give it a gentle tap, and plug back in. Check horn operation.

If all the above prove ok, then the fault lies in your steering wheel/horn switch assembly.

Cheers,

Ford Explorer, lights flash, horn honks and engine will not start. What could be the problem?

this sounds like the theft system is active, try locking and unlocking the door with the key if that doesnt work try the passenger door.

I have a 1998ford explorer that has lost 95%of its power startsonly if you grind the stater long enough and has a noise in top of the left bank could it be a chain or cam it will go about 20 miles an hour...

If this engine is the single overhead cam style you may have chain and cam problems. If you remove cam covers you will see right away if the chain and or chain guides are faulty.

Where is the horn located on a 1998 ford explorer

The horn is usually between the radiator and grill Assembly. The fuse is in fuse panel under the dash on the drivers side. Look at the lid and it shows the fuse placement and there use.

Horn on 1998 Explorer

Looking at the front of the vehicle, the horn is on the right side, top, behind the grill. (So if you open the hood, stand near the driver's fender, look to your left, in front of the radiator support, your should see the horns). Can't tell you why they don't work, could be fuses, horn switch, or the horn itself.

Replaced relays and ckecked fuses horn not working 1996explorer

with the horn you can run a wire from the battery to the horn to check it if that dosent work then it is probably the contact wire inside the steering column, I cant remember the name of the part but this should fix the horn and cruise problem.
