Question about 1995 Nissan Altima
Ok heres the problem with my nissan altima when i start it up its fine but as soon as i get ready to head down the road and give it a little more gas it seems like its holding back power when it does that it speeds up a little like its power is back and then its ok it does this every time i try to give it more gas or when i take off from a dead stop could this be the mass air flow sensor and before i foret the check engine light is on
Call ahead and then go to a local autoparts chain. Verify that they can read your OBD1 code. Most can only read 96 and newer OBDII. It may be worth paying the diagnstic fee at a Nissan dealer to find out what your code is. The codes are system specific and take the guesswork out of emissions system diagnosis. Consider this: When was the last time you had a tune up? Worn and out of spec gaps on your spark plugs can diminish performance, yet the car will idle fine without a load on the engine.
