This is pretty vague. There are a lot of options out there. A few of the top hits in your search for car audio retailers on your favorite www search engine will set you up with an installation kit and harness so you don't have to cut the factory harness. My favorite starts with the letter C. Their tech department is strong and will support you in your purchase free of charge, Like a CRUTCH.

2001 Boxster. Need to change miles to km. Non stock radio in car so radio knob doesn't correspond with factory settings under odometer. Nothing shows up using headlight stalk either. Any suggestions ?

Sorry to say, Many manufacturers put the interface threw the radio. once it goes aftermarket, it takes a scanner to change. Some times scanners won't do it..

How do I add the security code for the stereo unit after changing over to a different unit?

To help further we need to know what make and model of vehicle you have also what radio you have, but usually after you replace the factory headunit in your vehicle with an aftermarket one ie. Gm -> alpine you will no longer need a code because the aftermarket head unit does not have a security system like the factory one

How do u to go from a factory radio to a dual xd6150

Hello. Changing radios is fun. If you want to change the radio, make sure it will fit and that there will be enough room for it. You will need a installation kit if it is a aftermarket radio. If it is a Hyundai factory radio, then it is easyer to install. Good Luck.

Changed factory radio to aftermarket radio now my dash bord lights don't work

Sounds like you have a short, check fuses. Did you buy a fitting adapter for the new radio to the factory wiring harness? It's the easiest way. If your hard wired the new radio in, check the wiring.

Changed the fuse for radio and it did not change anything

Did you use a good fuse? What was the problem that made you change the fuse? Is the Radio the factory fitted one, if not what is it?

I have a 2005 malibu and want to replace my radio but keep my mileage and information screen, how can I do this.

assuming info screen is in the factory radio
couple ways of doing this
first and easiest is leave factory radio in place
and find a location for new radio (in glove box, under dash, (under seat if have remote) then just remove speaker wires from factory radio and install on aftermarket radio then run power and ground to aftermarket radio

option two
relocate factory radio to trunk or under seat (problem with this method is u have to look in trunk or under seat to read gas millage or info )
u will need to lengthen the data wires and run them to the new location of factory radio

I want to change my original cd player for a pioneer

This is because you need to purchase the aftermarket-oem harness plug. This harness plugs into your original equipment radio harness and allows you to plug any aftermarket radio into the stock deck wires. After you plug the harness in you can then connect the radio wires together.Your local autoparts store or circuit city or best buy or audio express will have these radio conversion plugs.I hope I could help

no, you have to know the code if you want to use the factory radio again, if you switch to an aftermarket radio, you wont have to worry about messing up the security settings

I bought the car without a radio. i am putting a aftermarket stereo in its place. I need to know what my factory wires are.

your best bet is to buy a adapter harness (not expense) it plugs right into factory radio plug and then to aftermarket radio, all you need is the make and model of radio going in and year make and model of car and go to a car radio store.ALOT EASY THIS WAY, ALSO THE PLUG COMES W/DIAGRAM &LABELED WIRES.good luck hope this helps.

Dodge radio

If you already checked the fuse, you need to check for power to the back of the radio. If power is present there you will need a new radio. Factory radios are expensive, the best bet is to get an aftermarket radio and install it.
