The Suzuki Swift is the same car as the Geo Metro and Pontiac Firefly.
Anything is possible if you throw enough money at it.
The first step is to buy a convertible for a parts donor car.
Then you will pay a body shop 6-8 thousand dollars to convert your car.
In the end, you will have spent enough to buy 3 or 4 convertibles.
Look at Teamswift.net you may be able to download a PDF file. Start at the board index and find your catagory, lots of information there from an international membership for all things suzuki/geo related.
Check the valve timing. You might have some problems with your timing belt or camshaft sprocket. If timing is OK, check the resistance of your TP sensor, specially on the terminals for full throttle. Resistance should be 2 to 6.5 kilo ohms. Lower than this the ECM will not give the right avance ignition timing to your engine. Repositioning the mounting angle may correct the problem.
Suzuki thermostats, more often than not, tend to fail OPEN when they have been overheated - which is a good thing! If they failed shut, you would really cook the motor. Change the thermostat. Also, find the cause of the initial lack of coolant.
