Re: Can't turn off interior lights
Check your dashboard for the dimmer for the instrument lights and check to see if it also controls the interior lights with a switch at one extreme or the other.
If this isn't the problem, you probably have a bad door switch.
You might try locating the switch plunger(s) which may be under a rubber cap on the door frame.
Check all of them, one at a time, having only one door open at any time and once you know what the plunger looks like, depress the one on the open door and let it fly back into position while watching the light.
Do each one several times and you may find the one causing the lights to stay on.
They are not expensive and simple to replace on many cars.

It can be one of two problems. One: pending on what kind of car you have. ..there is a switch near the steering column that turns left or right...adjusting your dash lights and or turning on/you interior lights.#2...check the interior fuse bus panel/box
Perhaps you have the headlight dimmer which adjust the dash illumination adjusted so far that it turned on the interior lights. Back it off a bit.
Or there may be a fault in one of the door switches making the light believe a door is open.
Replace the light control switch and if it is a separate adjustment the Dash board or Interior light brightness adjuster. Most likely it is the Light switch so start with that. This assumes all interior fuses and fuses and relays in the power distribution block under the hood are good.
Try adjusting your dimmer switch. If your dimmer switch is turned to high, it will turn on your interior lights on. You'll find your dimmer switch on the same panel where you head light switch is located, easy to accidentally moved it all the way to turn on your interior lights on.
Thank you for using Fixya and good luck. Keep me posted, if it's not your dimmer switch. The it's going to be one of your door pins are bad and shorted, causing your interior lights to stay on.
dimmer control turned all the way will switch on interior lights, if not may want to wd40 switches that the doors engage when shut. These are small usually push button types, they do break too and are adjustable
Check the adjustment of the rear hatch. As you turn the car body flexes
and if the rear hatch is not adjusted correctly the interior lights
will come on.
As for the sunroof, without proper diagnose I can only guess (motor, relay, fuse ).
