Question about 2005 Honda CR-V

2005 Honda CR-V won't go to XM radio.

I just bought a 2005 CR-V and I want to hook up the XM ready radio. The problem is, when I push the CD/XM button, it will only go to the CD. I called XM and they couldn't do anything without me going to channel 0, which I couldn't, or flipping it over to XM, WHICH I COULDN'T! Can you PLEASE help?

Same here, for a 2005 Honda CRV SE. How do you get to channel 0? Do you have to have a CD in first? Buying the vehicle used, aren't we supposed to get a 30-day trial of XM?

"XM Ready" means that you have to have a satelite radio installed in order to have XM service. I went through this when buying my 2005 CR-V and thought that all I needed was to set up the service. If you have an XM receiver installed you can controll it on your Honda factory radio. It is very misleading.

I would contact the dealer to see if you can get the security code for it. The radio thinks it is stolen.

I have a 2011 Honda Pilot. When I push the XM button it won't even change over to the XM radio. It is like there is no XM capability in my car. What can I do?

Often times you'll need an aftermarket integration kit to get an XM ready car radio to work. This is a two part system including the tuner to tie the subscription to and a translator to code it so the radio face will understand and display the information accurately. You can find such a kit for your car here: http://www.tss-radio.com/isimple-factory-ipod-xm-integration-for-honda-acura-vehicles-hd1.html

I could not operate my tape and cd tape due to code error

Honda outlines it here:
https://radio-navicode.honda.com/

You can retrieve your 5-digit code if you have your VIN (look for the plate at bottom of windshield on drivers side, looking from the outside), your phone number (the one Honda has on file, gathered when you bought it from the dealer) and the radio serial number.

They give you instructions on getting the radio serial number from the radio display which did work. Turn on ignition, have radio off and while simultaneously holding the 1 and 6 radio buttons push the "on" knob. Two code will flash... a U code and a L code, each followed by 4 numbers. Those 8 numbers (without the U and L form the radio serial number

What components do I need to activate the XM radio, Scion 2009?

The radio has a code. If you have the car's manual it will tell you how to display the code on the radio screen. Subscribe to xm and give them the radio code, and that is it. Helpful Hint : If you just want music and news and not all the other programs . XM has a 9.99 per month subscription, they won;t tell you unless you ask.. Good luck

Error 7 on 2005 Honda CRV Radio

I had the same issue with the radio code error lock on a 2005 CRV. I was unaware of the code procedure and had locked the radio in the "ERROR E" mode. I was able to unlock the radio by pulling the #9 back up fuse located in the fuse box in the engine compartment. This reset the radio to CODE which then allowed me to input the 5 digit number which I had in my glove box along with my owner's manual. I am happy to report I now have a working radio/ CD player.

Error code

When you purchased your crv, you should have received a little security card with 5 digits on it. It's the only way to unlook your Radio.
