Question about 2001 Dodge Dakota

1 Answer

My 2001 Dodge Dakota Club Cab truck has a chime that will not turn off. Chirps randomly the entire time that the car is on. It sounds like the seat belt warning but no hazard symbols show on the dash. The dealer said it was the modular behind the dash. They can fix for $400.00 but it seems like such a simple problem. Can't I disconnect or maybe clean the connections? Any suggestions for self repair.

I'm sorry, they are correct. On your truck most interior features are controlled by one module called a BCM or body control module, you may cause way more problems if you just started unhooking things... unfortunately, just like other computer related items in our lives, sometimes we just have no control.

The manual lever to adjust seat back of dodge dakota bucket seat is broken

You must replace the seat frame to correct this, the lever is not sold separetly. Another choice is to have the old one welded back on by a trim shop, about $50.00 I suggest you try and find a used seat frame, they are easy to change out.
