Check spark plugs. Failing that get back to me with more details. I am guessing that one of the spark plugs are not doing what they are supposed to do.

What could be causing my f-150 to smell and white smoke coming from engine after driving it at highway speeds and feeling like towing heavy load? 3 different shops and no one knows what's causing it?

Most people associate white smoke as a blown head gasket but I had a Ford that was dumping fuel and it had heavy white smoke and stunk out the exhaust. It had bad injectors. Let your mechanic read your fuel trims on his scanner after a long highway drive. Or do a fuel leak down test on them to know for sure.

Engine stalls while driving down road, stalls while turning, and has lose of power. has heavy fuel smell out of exhaust.i was thinking fuel injector sticking. not giving any codes.

Technically it should have a code for the O2 sensors if nothing else. They should be reporting to the computer that the fuel mixture is too rich. Yes one of the injectors could be dumping fuel, or it could be a faulty fuel pressure regulator.

Fuel vapor smell and car wont start right away

Is the check engine light on? Could possibly a bad EVAP canister or a leak in the fuel system.

Gas Smell in Truck Cab

gday mate, geoff here, ok she's an oldy but i bet she's a treat to drive, 1t check the fuel vent, making sure the one at the fuel cap is clear, also check for minute little pin holes where fuel pipe to engine is held to chassis, these are old and my have worn though, the rubbers at this age are due for replacement,ie the fuel tank filler to cap assembly, start there and go through the system, Without missing a hose , and no she looks OK here, check them thoroughly, fuel vapour is cause for explosion, hope this helps start the process, geoff.

Fuel smell in 2005 , f-150 just when I stop at a stop light, cannot smell when driving. Very heavy fuel smell.

If it is fuel injected, I would inspect the injection system. I had an injector that was leaking an puddling gas on the valve cover area. If not that, then generally check around for a leak in the fuel system / tank.

Shuts down when driving , then starts right back up and runs fine for awhile just gave a tuneup also and smell heavy gas

check none of your injectors are blocked, fuel pump or your timing belt slipped but with the smell of heavy gas if running with carb check the fuel return but sounds like faulty pump check gasket
