what are you meaning it wont start? will it turn over or not if after you have drove it for a while and shut it off and it wont turn over this is your starter getting hot after it cools down again it should start. changing the starter will cure this if it doesnt turn over after you drive it. hope this helps

Nissan pulsar '88. replaced starter motor, then

Is it a manual, or an automatic? Earlier Nissans sometimes have a problem with the neutral safety switch (a device that keeps the engine from rolling over in gear or without the clutch depressed.) Generally, if their bad, they need to be a little warm before they'll start, like setting in the sunlight for a few hours.

Good Luck!

Nissan pulsar 1988 wont go into gear I can put the gear stick in the right gear but does nothing wont reverse or drive, its automatic and has a reconditioned engine in it

try checking your transmission oil (i had the same problem but after $30 it was fixed) it might had drained out. if your transmission oil is fine then consult a mechanic preferebly an automatic transmission specialist. may be your transmission needs a rebuild.
