My 2000 Daewoo Nubira leaks oil from engine

The leaks seem to come from different places. I suspect the PCV valve is plugged and causing the problem. Where is it located? I cannot find it. Help....

I would think that if the PCV valve were actually plugged, there may be enough pressure build-up to unseat the thing, which would cause most oil leaking from crankcase pressure to exit via the hole left where the PCV was. Just a guess. How many miles on this Nubira?

Why my daewoo lanos splashing oil on the breather pipe

it could be a blocked pcv valve on the tappit cover . that controls engine blow by , caused by engine wear. as the engine gets older the rings wear and combustion gasses escape past the compression rings and enter the sump , if there wasn't a pcv valve it would pressure the engine and blow all of the oil seals out, the pcv valve is there to control these gasses and return any excess to the inlet manifold . it is possible that this valve is faulty. it is also possible that you have over filled the engine oil and this may be causing a issue. or the worst case scenario is that the engine is worn and posibally needs new rings. depending on how many klms are on the odometer I would be looking at all options before going down that path, as it is a expensive operation . hope this is of some help to you

I havea daewoo nubira and we replaced the valve cover gasket yesterday , did an oik change and now the engine is smoking white smoke. Try to check to hoses, could not see a leak. Where is the cylinder...

Hello and welcome to FixYa!

The cylinder head is located on the center of the engine. Yes it can be a worn out head gasket or piston rings. If the piston rings are worn out the oil is burnt that's why it emits white smoke. You will need to replace the head gasket and piston rings.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

I am getting oil in the spark plugs

Oil on the spark plugs is an indication that the rings on your pistons are failing and allowing oil to pass through into the combustion chamber.
Usually this is indicative of a motor with a lot of miles.

The solution is to replace the worn rings, but be prepared for other components which will need to be replaced once you start the process.

2000 daewoo nubira low oil pressure and no oil pressure sometimes

There are only two valid reasons for low oil pressure...bad bearings on crankshaft or obstructed oil pickup screen for pump...pump can be damaged by debris or hard carbon from either source but generally will not fail on it's own.
You may not be happy to hear this answer, but that's how it works on every engine, not just yours!!!
Good luck with it

2000 Daewoo Nubira PCV valve location.

Go to your local auto parts store and look for a chiltons or haynes repair manual for your make and model of car. 2000 daewoo nubria. They might already have one open and available for your reference, otherwise its probably $20.00 for one. Do a search online in a forum specifically for daewoos. there might be someone else that has this info available.
