Question about 2004 Dodge Stratus
Had auto scanned at autozone. The results was TPS, MAP or MAF sensor. What do you suggest I do. Should I simple take it to the dealer. I must do something, and I hate taking this car to anyone. It seems men usually see a female and instance attempt to run game /take advantage. I have a defensive attitude towards most men when it comes to auto repairs. Thanks for your advise.
So you know, I'm a guy...
Anyways, not all auto tech's are like that. Your dealer is the best bet. the TPS is the throttle position sensor
MAP is manifold absolute pressure and MAF is mass air flow.
sometimes one will take the other out, or give false readings, but, there is no maf on your car, and unless you have a containated intake then a map is unlikely, unless of course it's a wiring issue.
I could tell you it's alot of different things which could all take out these sensors, but I don't have the car in front of me, so I won't.
Take it to your dealer, speak with the service manager and address your concerns with him/her, when in doubt go to the top.
If that fails, I live in Ontario....lol and I can fix anything just have to have it in front of me. Good luck and let me know how things go.
