Question about 1996 Nissan Sentra

The car is getting fire but want start i think its the fuel regulator but not to sure. any suggestions?

I have a 1998 chevy express van.i have spark and fuel up to the trader valve.the van is not getting gas to start.i am thinking it is the fuel regulator module or the fuel regulater. what do you think?

Put a fuel pressure cage on the Schrader valve to test for fuel pressure. The fuel pump may not be running up to snuff or the regulator may be faulty. The strainer sock on the pickup tube in the fuel tank may have collapsed which will restrict the fuel flow.

We changed the feul pump it comes on u can hear it however the car wont start got any suggestions still acts as if it is not getting feul

Just a couple of suggestions, it could be that the injectors are not firing. Each injector has a solenoid on top of it with an electrical connector, the injector signals come from the control Electronic Control Module. You could have a defective module. Was the "check engine light"on prior to the failure?? Have you verified that you have ignition?? If you have ignition, replaced the fuel filter, and it's still not starting, I would perform a fuel pressure test to make sure you have appropriate fuel pressure. If you are not getting the appopriate pressure, then I would look at the fuel filter or the fuel pressure regulator.

We have spark and she tries to start even makes a slight backfire sometimes but just won't start. Any suggestions? She's a Lemans ....1990 I think

Sure its not a he cause a he they dont work and they break down so much?Sounds like low fuel pressure, fuel pump doesnt make pressure it supplies volume pressure is in the line,that why pressure regulator need to be check always, to make sure, but regulator hardly fail, when a fuel pressure is at a requied pressure the injector atomizes the spray pattern and thus combustion happens, without the proper presure you can be sure of a no start,you have spark and not enough pressure you can probable hit the bottom of the tank and get a temporary start but if any it wont be a long one

I have a 2002 Chevy Blazer. It died driving down the road. I thought I was out of gas. I have since replaced the coil, the rotor and cap on the distributor. I have spark. I used a fuel pressure tester and...

First will it fire with the aid of fuel inducet to the engine? There will be a breather hose attached to the intake near the throttle body. remove and use a carb/ throttlebody cleaner spray, have someone crank the engine and spray into the hole going into the throttlebody using the straw that the cleaner comes with. if it fires then the engine is not getting fuel. fuel pressure should only be 60-66 psi. Sounds like you have a faulty Fuel injector spider assembly. The regulator IS replaceable, you have to be VERY careful if you want to try that first. the assembly is plastic type of material and gets britle.and brakes EASY along with the injector lines. I will usually just replace the whole assy. as if it is not the problem and the injector is you have to go back into where you already were again.

search the VW forums for a proper firing order, they will have it listed in an easy to find spot i am sure...on account to it not starting, the firing order probably does not matter, i would check to see that you are actually having fuel injected into the cylinders, check that the injectors are firing by pulling them out of the intake manifold when you crank it to see if they are spraying fuel

My 1991 Honda Accord cranks but won't start. I have good fuel pressure, spark, and compression. The main relay is good. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks.

If you think there is fuel pressure just because the fuel pump kicks in, you might not actually have pressure. The fuel pressure regulator could be shot which would cause the fuel to go right through the fuel rail and back into the tank. So make sure you use an actual fuel pressure gauge to test that and rule out the pressure regulator...just had to make sure you did that.

If you do in fact have fuel pressure, spark, and compression, then the issue is either your timing or that the fuel is not getting inside cylinder. Timing fix is obvious, the issue with your fuel could be clogged injectors, bad injectors, or the injectors are just not getting the signal to fire. The latter is the most likely. Use a mechanics stethescope and hold it to one of the injectors and listen for a clicking sound when your cranking the engine over. You can pick one up at harbor freight or sears. You could also take a screwdriver and hold it against the injector and press your ear against the handle. However, if the engine shakes while you crank it you might have a very bruised ear...try explaining that one to your friends. If the injectors are not firing, the resistor pack is probably bad. The resistor pack is that thing on the drivers side of the engine compartment with the heat sink on it. Pick up a new one from a junk yard if you want to save a few bucks. That should fix your problem though.

Car will not start Have fuel to rail

It may not be a fuel problem Try a small shot of starting ether in the air intake. If it starts quick and shuts off it's a fuel problem but if it doesn't start start it's electrical.

The fuel pump is in the gas tank but there is also a gas regulator right at the front on the valve cover.
