Question about 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe

1999 Chevy Blazer - idle fluctuates

I have a 1999 Chevy Blazer suv. I have already replaced the Fuel Pump / Water Pump/ / spark plugs / wires & fixed the transmission. When I start the car & drivie it idles fine & the oil pressure is great - UNTIL I drive about 40 miles distance - then the idle drops & the oil pressure gauge drops together. If I rev the engine a little, the idle goes up & the oil pressure gauge goes up too.

1999 chevy blazer not starting

Check the plug wire from the ignition coil to the distributor cap.
If you haven't already, replace the distributor cap and rotor.
The GM Vortec's have issues with moisture getting inside the cap and rotor and causing problems.

1999 chev blazer won't start new fuel pump

So, do you hear the pump buzz on, when key is on? If that's good, then check your ignition circuit: check for spark at a plug. Use insulated pliers, hold end of plug wire 1/4 inch form engine bolt or ground source. When cranked, you should see a bright blue spark. Yes? Try another plug wire, too. No? Try another plug wire. If you have NO spark, could be your coil, coil pack, crank position sensor, ignition module. I would recommend using a diagnostic flow-chart to go through the ignition circuit. That way, you are not replacing unecessary parts_Expensive! Of course, if you have spark at plugs, your ignition circuit is good! Then you have to look further, like your injector circuit. Good luck.

I have a 95 chevy blazer that when in Park and you turn on the turn signal the battery gauge fluctuates. When you put it into drive it is fine for about 2 minutes of driving then the engine starts to rev...

YOUR IDLE IS SET TOO HIGH! ADJUST THIS AND THIS WILL FIX THE PROBLEM. YOU ALSO MIGHT TRY DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY AND RECONNECTING IT,...TO RESET THE BRAIN.

HOPE THIS HELPS!

1999 chevy blazer wont start turning over but not firing replace distributor cap and rotor any througts on it

first check for spark disconnect any plug wire from the spark plug remove the spark plug from the engine reattach the plug wire and set it on the fender well DO NOT TOUCH THE PLUG OR WIRE AND CRANK THE ENGINE AND SEE IF THERE IS A SPARK BETWEEN THE ELECTRODE AND ARM. if there is no spark you have an ignition problem check for 12v at distributor.
if you have spark then check fuel pressure the fuel pump could be bad.

THE FUEL PUMP IS BAD.

if your losing fuel pressure after the pump runs the drain back valve in the pump has failed.

and i doubt that you are seeing enough fuel pressure to run a vortec engine.

low fuel pressure equals a non running vortec
