Question about 1992 Isuzu Trooper

92 Trooper Spits and sputters

My 92 Trooper, A/T, Used to have this problem only when it was cold but now even when it is all warmed up it spits and sputters when I press the accelerater! Any ideas or suggestions? Maybe spark plugs??? IDK? I Did change the spark plugs and found one of the wires came off the plug and the metal clip stayed on the plug. I put it back together and recrimmped it but IDK maybe part or the actual problem!! Please help.

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like it needs a good tune up or mass air flow

Spits and sputters until warm

TUNE-UP, SPARK PLUGS, WIRES, AIR & FUEL FILTERS, FUEL INJECTOR CLEANER IN TANK, ALSO REPLACE PCV VALVE, & MOST IMPORTANT, REPLACE EGR VALVE, IT GETS TOTALLY CLOGED UP, YOUR ENGINE IS KNOWN FOR THAT. I HAVE A GNC 2500, 3/4 TON. SEEN IT ALL. CHANGE YOUR DISTRIBUTOR CAP & ROTOR ALSO. JUST DO IT !!!!!!!!!!!

It runs fine in the summer when temps are warm, but when it turns cold, especially when you first crank it up, it spits and sputters and will not run. It like its not get gas

PUT A SCANNER ON IT AND CHECK THE TEMP READING FOR THE COMPUTER IT IS MORE THAN LIKLY BAD LIKE IF ITS 40 OUTSIDE THE SENSOR IS READING 90 SO IT DOESNT GIVE IT THE EXTRA FUEL IT WOULD NEED WHEN COLD

Spits and sputters in damp weather until it warms up

Sounds like ignition problem, check all electrical connectors in ignition system for tight corrosion free connections, check condition of plug wires and distributor cap.
